SHNA Annual Meeting Minutes 2009January 20, 2009, Sam Hughes School, 700 N. Wilson Board Members Present: Rick Bell, Janett Carbajal, Carolyn Classen, Doug Donahue, Wallis Downer, John O’Dowd, Kathi McLaughlin, Sylvia Mungaray, Gail Schuessler, Frank Soltys, and John Wilder. Board Members Absent: Leon Bear, Michael Guymon, Larry Roberts, Ed Stokes. Following an hour of socializing, refreshments and informational kiosks, a business meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President O'Dowd, who introduced the present board and explained that no treasurer's report was available due to Leon Bear's hospitalization/convalescence. Steve Gilsdorf has volunteered to assume the Treasurer position, if elected to the Board. Skip Andre presented the proposed slate of board members, and asked for nominations from the floor. There being no further nominations, the new Board was voted in by acclamation and consists of the following: Rick Bell, Janett Carbajal, Carolyn Classen, Doug Donahue, Wallis Downer, John O’Dowd, Steve Gilsdorf, Kathi McLaughlin, Sylvia Mungaray, Gail Schuessler, Frank Soltys, Ed Stokes, and John Wilder. Business meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m., followed by a presentation "Protection of the Vulnerable Adult" by John Evans, AZ Asst. Atty. General.
