O'Dowd discussed the acoustics in the activity room, will contact Jody Gibbs & Bob Vint about a sound attenuation plan, costs, possibility of bond. THMS: O'Dowd reported THMS receives about $4 million additional funds to remedy past discrimination. It uses these funds for programs to assist at-risk students and for its magnet programs. If TUSD diverts these funds to other programs, the inequity that existed in the past will ultimately reoccur.

Traffic (Mungaray): Reported proposals for businesses/residences with widening of Broadway in 2011.

Military Community Relations (O'Dowd): Donahue attended meeting 11/18/09, when the chair of the committee announced that discussion of Snowbird would be postponed to the 1/10 meeting. His impression after attending the meeting and reviewing the minutes on the web the next day is that most of the business of the group is done in subcommittees. SHNA has been expelled from the committee for failure to attend several meetings in succession. Guest Crooks, who has been attending the meetings, participated in a discussion that followed. She stated a group, formerly called Tucson for Sound Solutions, is planning to get more actively involved in this issue.

Meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
